Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Volé (“Volé”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use volepadel.com and our related services, how we use it, and the rights you have. Volé is operated by Volé Padel. We are the data controller for the personal data described below, and you can reach us at privacy@volepadel.com.

The data we collect

Account & profile: your name, email address, mobile number, home location or postcode, an optional profile photo, and any Playtomic level you choose to add. Activity: the competitions you enter or run, the coaching sessions you book or deliver, scores, results, reviews and messages generated through the service. Payments: when you pay or get paid, our payment provider (Stripe) processes your card or bank details — we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of transactions (amounts, dates, status). Technical: a secure sign-in session cookie, and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to run and secure the site.

How we use it, and our legal basis

We use your data to provide the service — creating your account, running competitions and coaching bookings, taking and forwarding payments, and sending you service messages such as sign-in codes, booking confirmations and result notifications. The legal basis for this is performance of our contract with you. We also use data for our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving Volé (for example, preventing fraud and abuse). Where we send optional marketing, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers who help us run Volé, each acting under contract on our instructions: Stripe (payment processing and payouts), Resend (transactional email delivery), Vercel (application hosting), Neon (database hosting), Playtomic(to look up real court availability at partner clubs), and — only if you accept analytics cookies — Google Analytics(to understand how the site is used). When you take part in a competition or book a coach, the relevant organiser or coach can see the details they need to run your event or session (such as your name and contact number). We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK (for example in the United States). Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. We keep transaction and tax records for as long as the law requires (generally six years). When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see your rights below).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email us at privacy@volepadel.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in — because it is strictly necessary to provide the service, it does not require consent. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Analytics is optional and off by default: it only loads if you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner, and no analytics cookies are set or data sent unless you do. You can decline (nothing loads), and you can change your mind by clearing the choice in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Children

Volé is intended for users aged 18 and over. If a younger player takes part in an event, their account must be set up and managed by a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on their behalf.
