Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your use of Volé (volepadel.com) and our services. Volé is operated by Volé Padel. By creating an account or using Volé, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
1. What Volé is
Volé is a platform that lets organisers run padel competitions (leagues, tournaments and socials), lets coaches offer and take bookings, and lets players enter competitions and book coaching — with payments handled online. Volé provides the software and payment facilitation. Volé is not the organiser of any competition or the provider of any coaching session, and is not a party to the agreement between a player and an organiser or coach. Those arrangements are between the users involved.
2. Your account
You sign in using a secure link sent to your email — there’s no password to manage. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for the activity on your account. You must be 18 or over to hold an account, and you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Accepting these terms. When you create an account yourself you accept these terms by ticking the box on the sign-up form, and we record when you did. An account may also be created for you — for example when a partner enters you into a competition, a coach adds you as a client, or someone books a session you are playing in. In that case the account is inactive until you first sign in, and you will be asked to accept these terms then. Until you do, we only send you the email needed to tell you about the booking or entry you are part of.
3. Roles & responsibilities
Organisers are responsible for the competitions they run — including the format, entry price, refund policy, scheduling, and complying with any club or venue rules. Coaches are responsible for the sessions they deliver, their own qualifications and insurance, setting their rates and availability, and securing a court for each booking. Players are responsible for entering accurate details and for their own conduct and fitness to play. Padel is a physical activity; you take part at your own risk.
4. Fees & payments
Volé is free to sign up for and to run competitions or list coaching. Volé charges a small platform fee, tiered by price, on each entry or booking; the current fee is shown before you confirm. Payments are processed by Stripe, and payouts to organisers and coaches are made to their connected Stripe account.
Who pays the platform fee. By default the fee is added at checkout and paid by the player. An organiser or coach may instead choose to include it in their own price and absorb it. Either way the fee is due on every entry or booking made through Volé — including ones an organiser or coach adds by hand, and ones in a competition that is free to enter.
Bookings and entries you collect payment for yourself. Where no card payment is taken through Volé — an organiser adding an entry by hand, a free-to-enter competition, or a coach recording a booking they are collecting payment for directly — the platform fee is still due, and is owed by that organiser or coach. We recover it by deducting it from their next payout on a card entry or booking, or by invoice if it stays unrecovered. The amount owed is shown to them before they confirm the booking, and on their income page.
Changing our fees. We may change our platform fees and processing rates at any time. The rates in force are those published on this page and on our fees page, and the amount applying to a particular entry or booking is the one shown to you before you confirm it. A change never applies retrospectively to a transaction already completed. Where you have an ongoing arrangement with us and a change materially affects it, we will give you reasonable notice.
Card processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. Volé charges card processing at 1.5% + 20p per transaction on UK personal cards and 2.5% + 20p per transaction on UK commercial or corporate cards. Cards issued in the European Economic Area (EEA) are charged at 2.5% + 20p, and cards issued outside the UK and EEA at3.25% + 20p. Where the card is not held in sterling, Stripe converts the payment and charges a further2% currency conversion; a card already billed in GBP is not converted and that charge does not apply. Processing is deducted from the amount paid out to the organiser or coach. The full amount payable — entry or session price, platform fee and processing — is always shown before you confirm and pay. Processing is charged to the organiser or coach on every booking taken through Volé.
5. Communications & marketing
Service email. We send you the email needed to operate your account and the things you take part in — sign-in codes, entry and booking confirmations, receipts, fixture and schedule changes, cancellations and refunds. These are part of providing the service, so they are not marketing and you cannot unsubscribe from them while your account is active.
Marketing email. Separately, we may send you occasional news about Volé — new competitions and coaching near you, and new features. We only send these where you have opted in, by ticking the marketing box when you signed up or by turning it on later in your account. It is never a condition of using Volé, and ticking it is not required to sign up. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the service email above.
6. Data you upload about other people
If you add someone else’s details to Volé — a partner you are entering with, a client a coach adds to their diary, or contacts imported from your phone — you confirm you have a proper basis for sharing them with us, and that the information is accurate. You remain responsible for your relationship with those people.
We do not market to people you upload. Contacts a coach imports are held so that the coach can invite them, from the coach’s own phone or email — Volé does not message them. If someone you upload takes up an invitation and creates an account, they accept these terms themselves at that point, and any marketing consent is theirs to give. You cannot give it on their behalf.
7. Refunds & cancellations
Refunds for a competition entry are governed by the refund policy set by that competition’s organiser, shown on the entry page. Coaching bookings are refunded in line with the terms shown at the time of booking. Where a refund is due, Volé processes it back to your original payment method. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Volé — including attempting to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, disrupting the service, submitting false results or fraudulent payments, or using the platform for anything unlawful. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
9. Content
You keep ownership of the content you add (such as your profile, competition details and reviews), and grant Volé the licence needed to display and operate it within the service. Volé and its branding remain our property.
10. Availability & liability
We work hard to keep Volé running but don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Volé is not liable for the acts or omissions of organisers, coaches or players, for any injury or loss arising at an event or session, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid to Volé in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Volé and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as fees owed, content licences and liability) will continue to apply.
12. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
